SO we just finished KPOP: Ultimate Survival. What would you have done if it hadn't gotten canceled/got a second season?

- Despite their begging, Ms. Han’s not coming back. Even if she did, there’d be no point -- MK Junior don’t trust her. Woohyun and In-Young definitely don’t trust her. It’s up to Mr. Jang to figure out where to go from here. 

- Seung-Yeon doesn’t tell the boys until later, but her return to the group came at the cost of being disowned by her parents. She’s living with her uncle now. He’s just as much of a slob, and won’t stop crying to her about how much he misses Ms. Han and wish she hadn’t left.

- Woohyun calls a press conference to announce that he will be leaving M2 and moving into a team leader/producer role at the agency. When asked whether this is an official retirement from music, he gives no comment. 

- When it rains, it pours. The non-graduating members of M2 schedule a meeting with Mr. Jang to inform him that they wish to continue as the group without Woohyun or any additional members. Ms. Han’s marketing and management always presented Woohyun as the focus; the remaining group wants to challenge their fans to support them without him. 

- Naturally, M2 Junior is devastated -- no spots in M2 means that the showcase is pointless, right? WRONG. Mr. Jang, seeing the opportunities for the agency’s survival disappearing right before his eyes, drops a bombshell decision: the showcase will go ahead, with the company scores and fan votes determining which of their favorite M2 Junior trainees will feature in a professional debut. Anyone who receives less than 5,000 votes will be eliminated from consideration entirely, regardless of the company’s scores. If only one member meets the vote requirement, then that member will debut as a solo act--if no one does, then none of the members will sign a contract. 

- Seung-Yeon acts excited about this, but secretly she’s terrified. Will anybody vote for her, regardless of her musical talent, now that they know she’s Mr. Jang’s niece, and that she’s been a woman the whole time? And that’s not even considering the rumors that Woohyun cheated on In-Young with her...She’s not the only one worried, but she has perhaps the greatest reason to be. After a conversation with Woohyun, she decides to perform the song that they wrote together 

- Showcase day comes. Each member performs their best; even though they are competing now, each finds small moments to show support for the others:

 Ji-Woo lets Dong-Woo borrow his jacket when his is just a bit too tight. All the scandals have triggered some stress-eating, but there’s absolutely nothing wrong with him gaining a little weight back; he just deserves to be comfortable.

Dong Woo switches spots with Tae-Kwon to go first, so Tae-Kwon can have more time to warm up. 

Tae-Kwon rushes to accompany Chang Min on piano when his music goes out only a few minutes into his performance. 

Chang Min brings water bottles for the group and jokes that Hyung Seung should “set a better example, as our leader.” 

Hyung-Seung gives Ki Beom a pep talk, seeing that he’s apprehensive about what people will think of him after reading his "X-file”. He compliments the other member’s dancing, acknowledging him as a true rival who he’d like to learn from.

Ki Beom pays a street singer to borrow his guitar when Jae-Ah’s goes mysteriously missing (probably swiped by a couple of fan-girls). 

Jae-Ah starts cheering for Seung-Yeon backstage when the opening lines to her performance is met with dead, judgmental silence. This gives her the confidence to push through.

Seung Yeon tells Ji Woo that his voice is a gift that he should share with others, even if it means that she can’t follow her dream along with him. She makes him promise that if he succeeds, that he will accept the opportunity even if she fails.

- The final votes are in -- and every member of the group has received enough votes from both the company and the fans to pass. They will debut as an eight-member, mixed-gender group. Turns out, when Seung-Yeon was opening her heart out to Woohyun about following her dreams, the other members of her team were listening--and posted it to their fan-page, proclaiming support for her as a member of the group. 

- Debuting as a mixed group with many scandals straight out of the gate won’t make it easy for them to succeed, however. Mr. Jang decides that their first album will be covers of popular songs that showcase the group’s range and individual talents. In-Young is persuaded to feature in order to put to bed the rumor that she and Seung-Yeon have a feud; in return, the majority of the company’s marketing is focused on her solo album, and she is presented as the more gracious person of the two. 

- In-Young publicly states that her photos were released by a company official, and though she declines to name who, clarifies that the employee no longer works at Sunny Entertainment. Combined with the company pulling back on favoritism towards Woohyun, this starts rumors swirling about his and Ms. Han’s relationship. It’s a good thing he decided against going to the US...

- Speaking of Ms. Han: though she excels in her new position, the American music industry differs in many ways. Her control over her clients is more limited, and dating scandals don’t hold the same effect. She keeps finding herself drawn to news about Sunny Entertainment, and can’t help but be proud that Mr. Jang has finally grown up enough to take charge. Of course, the fact that he’s very candid about how much he misses her in the many, many phone messages he leaves doesn’t hurt.

- Woohyun likes producing, but struggles not to let his temper and perfectionism get in the way. Mr. Jang urges him to use his own experiences as an idol, suffocating under the control of his team leaders, to stoke his empathy. Seung-Yeon’s refusal to take any shit from him helps.

- Now that Seung-Yeon lives with her uncle, and that she has officially debuted with M2 Junior, she and Woohyun must be even more creative about finding time to be together. Luckily, they are both dedicated to the cause. 

- Also, the main plot of the new season is the threat of a new “scandal”: photos of Hyung-Seung and Ki Beom, caught sharing a tender moment, are anonymously emailed to the company website. It’s up to our ragtag team of musicians/singers and their one brain cell to solve the mystery and protect their friends.

Mais bem vestidos:

Han Ji-Woo. Não sei se o que ele tá vestindo é um kimono, só sei que o professor ficou um gostoso com ele. Muito elegante e original.

Orion Kwon. A roupa quase inteira do boy é preto, simples, elegante... E aí ele coloca esse terno babado com uma estampa maravilhosa... 10/10!

Siya Carter. O saree dela tá simplesmente maravilhoso! E ouvi boatos que é criação dela mesma! No próximo evento vou pedir pra Sisi fazer minha roupa também.

Sarya Glynhorn. Com toda essa pegada de mato e floresta digno de uma elfa, ficou lindo.

Jeong Dahae. Parece que o vestido foi feito com o próprio mar, coisa mais linda, caimento impecável.

Juno Yoon. Ele escolheu um conjunto com uma estampa maravilhosa, não tem nem como criticar.

Hansol Ji. Ficou uma coisa meio príncipe das trevas, com um cropped no meio, fiquei sem palavras!

Marina Fernandes. Eu simplesmente amei a saia do vestido, ela anda parece que tá flutuando por ai, achei tudo!

Com tantos Centros de Treinamento Olímpico espalhados pelo mundo, por que o Hamdeok Complex?

Minha carreira na música sempre foi minha prioridade, mas as coisas não estavam dando certo no meu país de origem. Por isso, quando minha família se mudou para a Coreia em 2023, meu irmão, que sempre foi mais dedicado com a esgrima do que eu, me incentivou a investir na carreira de atleta profissional. Ele decidiu fazer os testes para o Hamdeok e me disse para tentar também, no fim nós dois passamos e entramos aqui. Então eu só tô aqui por causa dele mesmo, nem sei muito do Hamdeok.

E como você entrou? Alguém te indicou e você passou pelos testes, você se inscreveu voluntariamente para fazer os testes ou houve alguma contribuição monetária envolvida?

Me inscrevi voluntariamente para os testes depois que meu irmão sugeriu. Não teve nenhuma contribuição monetária, apenas talento… Ou só gostaram de mim mesmo.

Você certamente se destaca no esporte que pratica. O que motivou a sua escolha por ele?

Escolhi a esgrima por um motivo que muitos acham idiota: eu sempre amei piratas e lutas de espadas. Quando eu era mais novo brincava de lutar com espadas com meu irmão e me sentia em um filme de aventura, aí minha mãe achou legal me matricular na esgrima e eu gostei muito, nunca parei de treinar e fui ficando bom com o tempo.

Pode nos contar, brevemente, sobre sua trajetória no esporte até o momento?

Ainda não tenho trajetória na esgrima. Tô no esporte desde meus 8 anos, mas nunca competi de forma profissional. Meus professores já me disseram que sou bom, mas nunca tive uma vida de atleta, até ano passado eu estava na faculdade de Engenharia de Som e tocava numa banda de rock, nem tinha tanto tempo assim pra treinar. Agora a esgrima é a prioridade, então espero ter uma carreira de verdade como esgrimista muito em breve.

Quais são suas maiores qualidades e maiores defeitos? Como elas influenciam seu dia a dia como atleta?

Eu acho que meu maior defeito é não ter uma rotina saudável. Sempre tô fazendo muita coisa, dormindo pouco e por isso vivo exausto e estressado, agora que quero ser um atleta profissional sei que preciso mudar isso, focar no esporte e deixar algumas coisas de lado para alcançar meu objetivo. Minha qualidade é que eu sou bem teimoso… Ou isso seria um defeito também? Enfim, não sou de desistir, quando quero uma coisa vou até o fim. Eu também sou muito bom em outras coisas, como física acústica e mecânica, cálculo integral, composição musical… Mas não foi isso que você perguntou, né?

Sabemos que é uma grande honra ser convocado para representar seu país nos jogos olímpicos, mas existe alguma outra razão pela qual você deseje isso?

Bom, pra ser sincero, queria ser conhecido principalmente pela minha música e não pela esgrima, mas se o esporte me ajudar a ter alguma fama, seria bom para eu mostrar o meu lado artístico para o público. Então, além da honra de representar a Coreia na esgrima, quero mostrar meu talento como cantor e compositor.

Isso não muda mesmo após a morte do homem, que muitos conheceram como o grande Embarcador do Porto Meridiano. Seonghwa, definitivamente odeia piratas... Ou é o que quer que pareça. É interessante tentar entender como ele acabou se juntando à tripulação do North Down, o Casper mais temido de todo o planeta, como algo muito além de um mero tripulante. "Pois então, eu serei sua ruína! Eu tomarei cada grama de poder que você pensa possuir, e eu colocarei à baixo todas as injustiças que como falso Norte você disseminou. Porque eu sou o Norte desse povo! Eu sou o Embarcador de todos eles! E enquanto você reinar, eu serei o escudo de todos os que precisarem de mim." PACOTÃO DE JANEIRO + DEBUT

Olá, olá! Eu sou a Bea e esse blog é o aespa baixa renda do AYO GG.

Com muito tempo livre em mãos e muita vontade de dar pitaco sobre boygroups de K-POP (e, ocasionalmente, C-POP) e solistas masculinos, aqui estou com o AYO LISTEN UP.

Como esse blog é mais um hobby do que qualquer outra coisa, não tenho muitas intenções de chart. E muito provavelmente não serei tãoooo constante assim nas postagens. Basicamente, aqui é o meu depósito de opiniões que eu quero compartilhar e você decide se quer ler ou não.

E aproveitando que fevereiro acabou de começar, decidi debutar o blog com uma lista com os lançamentos que salvaram janeiro e também com aqueles que estragaram meu dia.

HERÓIS DO MÊS

09. JEONG SEWOON — IN THE DARK

Gênero(s): POP

Pra quem não conhece, o Sewoon participou do fraudulento Produce 101 Season 2 e chegou a se classificar em #12. No fim, foi ótimo ele não ter entrado pro Wanna One porque dá pra ver que o garoto nunca teve muita intenção de ser idol. Eu não sou muito fã de solistas porque a maioria só serve ballads chatíssimas, porém desde o Produce 101 eu simpatizei com a voz do Sewoon por ser bem gostosinha de ouvir. Como fangirlzinha do AKMU, acho que ele tem a mesma vibe da dupla. Ainda sim, minhas expectativas para IN THE DARK estavam bem baixas, então talvez seja por isso que fiquei surpresa por não ter dormido enquanto escutava. Dá até pra balançar a cabeça com a batidinha!

08. MCND — CRUSH

Gênero(s): ELECTRONIC, DANCE

MCND ainda é um grupo rookie, criado pela TOP Media — que, de certa forma, também é uma empresa rookie — e debutou no início do ano passado. Lançar uma música barulhenta dessa no meio do inverno foi um belo tiro no pé, mas num geral até que é boazinha. Os vocais e os rappers são bem decentes se você for comparar com o tanto de zé ruela que tem debutado sem saber pra onde tá indo.

07. TREASURE — MY TREASURE

Gênero(s): SYNTHPOP, EDM

Tão fofos que nem parece um grupo formado pela YG. Sendo sincera, foi a primeira música deles que eu ouvi. O instrumental é bem gostosinho e tranquilo, ideal para lançamento de inverno (aprende, Victon).

06. T1419 — ASURABALBALTA

Gênero(s): EDM, HIP HOP

O único erro é esse nome impronunciável (eu chamo de barabalta), porém os bonitinhos são melhor que a média dos rookies paneleiros do ano passado. T1419 é o novo grupo da MLD, a empresa do MOMOLAND, e esse é o single de debut deles. Por mais que o conceito dark + corrente pra todo lado já esteja meio batido e fora de época, a música e o MV ficaram bem decentes. Considerando que a MLD só acertou uma única vez em anos com o MOMOLAND, eles tiveram um bom começo.

05. EPIK HIGH — ROSARIO

Gênero(s): HIP HOP

A existência do Epik High por si só é uma manifestação divina. Apesar de terem passado por mais empresas do que a Hyuna, o trio continua firme e servindo qualidade há quase 20 anos. E dessa vez não foi diferente.

04. AB6IX - STAY YOUNG

Gênero(s): POP, ALTERNATIVE ROCK

Por mais que não seja exatamente uma simpatizante do grupo do Daehwi, preciso admitir que a música foi melhor do que eu esperava. Teve a mesma vibe leve do My Treasure e não assassinou a tranquilidade de início de ano.

03. CRAVITY — MY TURN

Gênero(s): HIP HOP, EDM

Starship provando que não está tão fora de si ainda e entregando um EDM bonzinho, mesmo que meio fora de época.

02. ONEUS — NO DIGGITY

Gênero(s): POP, ELECTRONIC

A primeira coisa que me veio à mente foi: VIXX; e a segunda foi o falecido B.A.P. Definitivamente estão na minha listinha de rookies promissores. Os vocais são muito decentes e ter rappers de verdade com certeza é um diferencial.

01. HOPPIPOLLA — YOUR OCEAN

Gênero(s): ALTERNATIVE

Quer arrastar o chifre no chão? Aqui está sua música de fundo.

Hoppipolla é uma banda sem intenção de charts que foi formada pela JTBC em 2019. E só de ter um violoncelista já é maior do que qualquer outra banda coreana.

Ao contrário de CRUSH, essa maldita música foi apenas uma barulheira chata que não deu pra engolir. Como alguém começa bem o ano com a cabeça estourando?

Não é a pior música que ouvi na vida, mas com certeza passa batido muito fácil. E é isso.

04. U-KNOW — EENY MEENY

Uma tragédia de 3 minutos com a Seulgi de back dancer.

03. GOLDEN CHILD — BURN IT

Gênero(s): ELECTRONIC, POP

A história do MV até que ficou boazinha, mas a música é totalmente passável. Literalmente nenhum atrativo.

Gênero(s): R&B

Não pareceu muito R&B pra mim, mas quem sou eu pra dizer que não é. De todo jeito, isso aqui é tipo o anticristo do Epik High.

Eu tava pronta pra elogiar o reizinho, mas que merda foi essa???

Professor Chung-hwa Han offered her house and all her land to the UC – but Moon’s promises were empty

Professor Chung-hwa Han 韓忠嬅 – head of the residential advisors at the Ewha Womans University dormitories – joined in 1954 after being witnessed to by Mrs. Yun-yeong Yang.

Han was married, but her husband was incarcerated in North Korea. Her two children were suffering from a serious illness. When she met Moon, he said that if she joined all her problems would be solved. She became a devoted member. Ten years later, she went to visit Seon-gil Choi and shared what had happened in her life. Nothing had been resolved and she was dying of cancer.

Gil Ja Sa Eu gave this testimony in 1980. She was one of the fourteen students expelled from Ewha Womans University in 1955. (see photo below) She was married to UC president Hyo-won Eu.

“Also I heard that the English literature professor [Professor Han] who had, until a short time before, been the house mother of our dormitory was going there [to the Unification Church]. During the Korean War her husband was kidnapped by the Communists. She lived only for the coming Lord, and her faith was such that she had many spiritual experiences. Every night she would battle with armies of satans.

She would wave a cutting knife around and in a loud voice pray in tears. She would gather us for early morning prayer meetings, and tell us many things we couldn’t comprehend about the spiritual world.

Somehow my heart was attracted and I faithfully attended every morning. Because of her almost insane life of faith, she was finally removed as house mother of the dormitory. Once she began attending the Unification Church, however, I could not help but be amazed at the change that came over her. Before, because she said she was a sinner, she never used makeup and never cared how she dressed, but when she began going to the Unification Church she began to dress neatly and even began setting her hair, her face was full of hope, and her attitude always joyful.”

Testimony of Mrs Jeong-ok Kim (above) At the time, in 1955, she was Dean of the Student Ministry at Ewha Womans University; she was interviewed in 1993 at the age of 82. Other direct interviews are featured.

“House and land were all offered [to the UC].”

Kim continued to speak about a female Professor of English from that time. Her name was Chung-hwa Han and she had become an evangelist for the Unification Church. “Chung-hwa Han’s husband had been abducted in North Korea, and two of her children were both plagued by serious illnesses. “She had met Sun Myung Moon in Busan. He had told her that if she offered everything to the Unification Church, her husband would return and also her children’s illnesses would be healed. I heard that subsequently she became a fanatical member. I heard her lecturing about the Unification Church in the dormitory and in the classroom, so I scolded her. “I told her that this Methodist school did not permit her to lecture about the Unification Church in the classrooms and dormitories. I also said that Christianity was not taught in a temple. She retorted, “One day those of you who do not believe in the Unification Church will go to hell”. The next day she submitted her letter of resignation. “About ten years later Chung-hwa Han came to visit my house. She was shabbily dressed. She told me she had left the Unification Church. She was crying as she explained, “I dedicated my house and land, and all my deposits to the Unification Church. Still I am without my husband and my children did not recover from their illnesses.” A few years later she died.” Some girls at Ewha Woman’s University accepted her “teaching” and they joined the Unification Church. One has to wonder what fate was waiting for them.

❊ W - TWO WORLDS ❊

RATING: 100/10

I AM BACK. I had a 4-6 week hiatus of watching any form of kdrama--even short clips and behind the scenes. BUT. I AM BACK ALIVE AND FANGIRLING. 

SO. Here goes my W review. I literally just finished watching the show like a few minutes ago. So, my emotions are quote raw. And let me just tell you this--I teared up. SHOCKER BECAUSE I BARELY TEAR UP/CRY. EVEN IN MOVIES. Some people would think I’m so heartless for not crying in some shows and/or movies, BUT THIS SHOW IS AN EXCEPTION. So, if you’re ready for a show that will literally take you on a rollercoaster of emotions, then buckle up, honey. W will literally--literally--make you shook.

So, here goes my extensive review of the show.

There was indeed never a time I didn’t want to watch the following episode of this show. Due to the hiatus, I literally had to rewatch the show from the beginning episode (I stopped at the 12th episode). The show had so many factors that you really need to take into consideration to understand the show. And you really can’t miss a detail in the show. And how they fabricated the show was absolutely amazing. Every scene fit with another, and everything connected. It was so beautiful??? There was a perfect mix of romance and thriller--and, WOW. Ugh. The show was so good.

I was immediately hooked in the first episode. This is my second ‘fantasy’ genre of kdrama (following Legend of the Blue Sea), and sigh, I’m so happy I started trying fantasy kdramas. The first episode really pulls you into the show. The first episode literally had a mystery already with Mr. Oh going missing, and Yeon Joo being pulled into the comic--and, that really convince me to continue watching this show. And it was literally like that in every episode. UGH. I have so much praise for this show because it was so, so well thought of! All the puzzle pieces fit and UGH kudos to the creators, and the actors of course. 

OH YES. LET ME GET STRAIGHT TO THE ACTORS. 

YOOOOOOOO. LEE JONG SUK. YOOOOOO. NO. I CAN’T. HE WAS HONESTLY. BEAUTIFUL IN THE ENTIRE SERIES. EVEN WHEN HE WAS DYING HE WAS LITERALLY SO BEAUTIFUL??? HE PLAYED THE ROLE OF KANG CHUL SO WELL. ASDABJDKASJD HE WAS SO SEXY ADDASHKDAD I CAN’T SORRY GUYS I LITERALLY SCREAMED IN HIS GIDDY SCENES WITH HAN HYO JOO OR KNOWN AS YEON JOO ON THE SHOW. 

I really love all of their scenes together. I don’t want to spoil it--even if I am indeed spoiling the whole show--for those who haven’t seen it. And I think there are just too many scenes where I was giddy. OH YES. JUST TO LET YOU GUYS KNOW. LEE JONG SUK WINKS LIKE 5 TIMES IN THIS SHOW. SO. YOU’LL FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM AFTER THE FIRST EPISODE. BUT. IT ONLY TOOK ME AROUND 6 MINUTES TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM EVER SINCE SEVEN FIRST KISSES SO. HAHA IT’S SO EASY TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM. HE’S YOUR PERFECT MIX OF CUTE, HOT AND SEXY AT THE SAME TIME. WOW. I CAN’T. AND HE’S SUCH A GREAT ACTOR? I MEAN? HE’S BASICALLY PERFECT? LIKE? HE CAN EVEN ROCK ANY HAIRSTYLE? BECAUSE I NOTICED HE HAD TWO TYPES OF HAIRSTYLES IN THE SHOW AND YOOO HE LOOKED GOOD IN EITHER SO I’M NOT COMPLAINING. AND WOW. THE CLOTHES HE WORE. YUP. I’D LIKE TO SEE YOU IN MORE BUTTON UP SHIRTS JONG SUK. THANK YOU TO THE WARDROBE ARTISTS FOR MAKING JONG SUK WEAR BUTTON UP SHIRTS. YOU HAVE MADE ME THE HAPPINESS AND GIDDIEST GIRL ON EARTH.  

AND HOW CAN WE FORGET HAN HYO JOO, who played Oh Yeon Joo. From the interviews I watched of them together, in reality, Hyo Joo is very different from her character in W. Hyo Joo said that she had to become someone who was more lively to portray the character of Yeon Joo, and apparently according to her, she isn’t that lively in real life. BUT WOW? SHE PLAYED HER ROLE SO WELL??? LIKE??? WHERE MAY I OBTAIN SUCH TALENT??? AND OF COURSE. SHE WAS GORGEOUS THROUGHOUT THE SHOW. I loved her wardrobe choices during the show. I noticed her clothes a lot--and, they really suited her. 

SORRY BACK TO THEIR CHEMISTRY BUT IT WAS JUST AMAZING. I SCREAMED WHEN I STARTED GETTING GIDDY. I AM HOPING--EVEN UNTIL NOW--THAT THEY’RE SECRETLY SEEING EACH OTHER. I REALLY WANT THEM TO DATE. 

AND CAN WE GIVE SOME APPRECIATION TO SO HEE (Jeong Eu-Gene) AND DO YOON (Lee Tae-Hwan). So Hee was honestly so beautiful??? Like??? How can someone be that beautiful??? And as for Do Yoon, I secretly had a crush for him. He was so beautiful. Honestly, the entire cast was beautiful???

(Don’t laugh at me. I hope I’m not alone in this, but I secrectly wanted Do Yoon and So Hee to end up together. I hope I’m not alone in this, omo.)

IF I COULD, I WOULD MENTION THE WHOLE CAST BECAUSE EVERYONE PLAYED THEIR ROLES SO WELL. I LOVE THIS SHOW. IT WAS SOOOO WELL THOUGHT OF, AND SO CREATIVE. THE DRAWINGS AND THE ANIMATIONS WERE FREAKING AMAZING. IT HONESTLY FELT SO REAL AND VIVID??? LIKE THE SHOW lLITERALLY SUCKS YOU IN UGH!!! AMAZING.

OH LET ME JUST TELL YOU GUYS THE SCENES WHERE I TEARED UP IN. THERE WERE TWO. So, I literally cried when Kang Chul was in the court for the second time (it was the 14th episode I think). And then Do Yoon saw Yeon Joo going in the court room and said her name a bit too loud. BUT THE PARTICULAR SCENE THAT MADE ME CRY. WAS WHEN YEON JOO WANTED TO SPEAK TO KANG CHUL BUT THE GUARDS WERE PULLING KANG CHUL AWAY BUT HE JUST ASKED FOR A MINUTE TO SPEAK TO HER. YO. WHAT THEY SAID TO EACH OTHER MADE ME TEAR UP. IT WAS SO PAINFUL. BECAUSE CAN YOU IMAGINE. Kang Chul was being sentenced to prison, and they had to be separated. IT’S SO PAINFUL. HONESTLY, MY HEART WAS SO PAINFUL? HONESTLY I FELT MY HEART BEING CRUSHED INTO A MILLION PIECES. UGH. 

ALSO, THE SECOND ONE WAS THE PART WHERE MR OH WAS STARTING TO DISAPPEAR BUT HE WANTED TO SEE HIS DAUGHTER, YEON JOO ONE LAST TIME. His words as he saw her crying on the opposite end of the street from Kang Chul literally stung. It was the most painful thing to watch. And WHEN HE TOLD KANG CHUL “Please don’t tell her [Yeon Joo] that I’m gone. I don’t want her to be sad, tell her I’m alive.” I WAS HURTING. IT WAS SO PAINFUL. ACTUALLY NOT ONLY DID MR OH MAKE ME SAD. THAT WHOLE SCENE WHEN SHE WAS RUNNING TO KANG CHUL IN THE BUS STOP MADE MY HEART PAINFUL. WOWOWOWOWOW. WHAT A GREAT SHOW Y’ALL.  

WOW. I know I always say this in dramas I watch, but I wish I could say more. But, of course, I might as well write a novel of my appreciation for this drama. Honestly, the creators of this show were amazing. I really give all my praise and appreciation for them. They created such a different and unique plot, and wow. It was just so nice to see such creativity come alive in a drama. 

I really recommend this show to everyone. However, I would like to say a warning. There are indeed bloody scenes, action scenes (shooting) and medical (?) scenes. So, for those who get scared over scenes like those, watch at your own risk! I’d just like to alert those who plan on watching this, because I was just so shook at all the blood. Not that I get grossed out, I was just shook because they zoom in the gun shots and the injections. So, yes, watch at your own risk.

But of course, overall, the show is absolutely amazing. Great plot, great cast. I honestly have no criticism for this show. It was the perfect blend of romance, action, thriller, mystery, and family.

Sinopse:

Lee Da ll é um ex-militar que agora trabalha como detetive particular. Enquanto investiga um caso de desaparecimento conhece Jung Yeo Wool, uma jovem que quer trabalhar com ele na esperança de que Da Il possa ajudá-la a descobrir a verdade por trás da morte de sua irmã. Juntos eles começam a investigar vários crimes estranhos.

Personagens:

Jung Yeo Wool

É uma garota destemida, com um bom coração, faz de tudo para proteger as pessoas que estão ao seu redor.  Sua irmã morreu e todos dizem que é suícidio, porém Yeo Wool viu uma mulher de vermelho no local que parecia ter instigado a morte, o problema é que ela é a única que a viu e a polícia também não acredita nela.

Lee Da Il

Um homem justo, honesto e detalhista. É um detetive muito bom em seu trabalho, encontra pistas como ninguém e é capaz de solucionar casos mais rápido que a própria polícia. Assim como Yeo Wool ele também se preocupa muito com as pessoas que o cercam e tem um bom coração.

Sun Woo Hye

A mulher de vermelho é um espírito que faz da vida de todos um verdadeiro inferno, ela utiliza de suas maiores fraquezas para poder controlar as pessoas, além disso usa alucinações auditivas e visuais para conseguir o que quer. Sun Woo tem muita mágoa, culpa e ódio em seu coração.

Han Sang Seob

Trabalha com Da Il, é um homem bom e se auto intitula sherlock holmes. Estava sempre ajudando a todos, mas levava cada susto. Se culpa amargamente pela morte da esposa.

Gil Chae Won

É uma xamã e médica legista, ela consegue se comunicar com os mortos através do toque. Chae Won foi quem esclareceu todos os pontos sobrenaturais da história.

Park Jeong Dae

É um policial, apaixonado pela Yoo Weol, porém ele também não acreditou nela no caso da irmã. Jeong Dae é do tipo que só acredita no que vê e inclusive achou toda aquela história muito absurda.

Opiniões e comentários:

Primeiramente que o plot desse drama é totalmente louco, fora do comum, diferente de tudo com a temática sobrenatural que tenhamos visto até agora.

O fato de que a vilã utiliza de alucinações para manipular as pessoas e atingir suas fraquezas foi extremamente inteligente, e ainda dizer as pessoas para escolher entre morrer ou uma pessoa próxima morreria foi cruel, mas como eu disse antes, muito inteligente. Ela sabia exatamente onde cutucar a ferida para que doesse mais e ainda trazer a tona pensamentos obscuros que podiam ser ou não verdade.

Parabenizo a atriz por sua atuação magnifíca, ela parecia mesmo querer apenas matar todos, o olhar e até mesmo o sorriso foram, de fato, marcas registradas da vilã.

Cada personagem teve um papel claro para o desenrolar da trama, era como  se caso não houvesse um deles não iria dar certo. O romance entre Dae Il e Yeo Wool foi realmente muito fofo mas muito sofrido, eles, literalmente, matariam e morreriam um pelo outro. A amizade e ambiente familiar criada por todos da trama foi bem interessante porque eles não realmente se conheciam, com exceção de Da Il e Sang Seob.

O aspecto sobrenatural foi bem explorado e mesclado de forma brilhante com o mundo humano, havia cada vez mais perguntas a serem respondidas sobre a vilã e sobre o protagonista.
